so it makes sense he would be citing new wave/punk songs in this show, even if he ended up putting the style down in "Tinseltown Rebellion" by fall 80.

I have the impression that FZ was going after the LA scene at the time that would rapidly morph into the "hair band" era, (Motley Crue, etc.) rather than the punk/new wave scene in general.

Iggy, a friend of FZ's! That's quite interesting, considering his general disposition towards punk rock.

FZ may have met Iggy in 1968, when The Mothers and the Psychedelic Stooges appeared on the same bill at the Grande Ballroom (68/04/28 Detroit).

In an interview, FZ stated that he saw Iggy dripping candle wax on Andy Warhol's belly when the Stooges played at Whisky A Go Go (probably in late '68):

And according to Adrian Belew, Iggy was at FZ's 1978/2/15 concert in Berlin:

According to Iggy, he and FZ "went out for a burger once in Berlin, to a bright lit cheap and greasy joint, with David Bowie":

I'm wondering if it was after the 1978/2/15 concert, because the situation seems to be very different from the one described in Belew's recolletion. Probably it was a year before (1977/2/7)? Note that Bowie and Iggy relocated to Berlin in late 1976.

Arthur Barrow mentioned a story he had heard of FZ and David Bowie having dinner together but having little to say to each other. I don't know if he specified when it was or whether Iggy Pop could have also been there.
