Description:

--------------

encore Anton Webern.

--------------

English:

"Yellow Shark": Homage to Frank Zappa with the ensemble Intercontemporain

As part of the Frank Zappa Weekend in the Paris Philharmonic, Matthias Pintscher
joins the works of the mustachioed rocker with compositions from art music.
That's fine coherent, Frank Zappa himself was a confessed admirer of Edgard Varèse,
Igor Stravinsky and Anton Webern.

In case anyone else was wondering, six of these musicians played on the Perfect Stranger album in 1984:

Sophie Cherrier (flute)
Didier Pateau (oboe)
Jens McManama (horn)
Jérôme Naulais (trombone)
Benny Sluchin (trombone)
Pierre Strauch (cello)
