Yes, good point, but what about Arthur Barrow in this list? Was he on the newly-recorded material too?

Yes. Scott Thunes rarely recorded in the studio with FZ.

Thanks for this! I have something called the Thingfish pre-release... ihavent heard it in awhile, is their some big differences other than this is shorter? Forgive my Thingfish lack of knowledge... I guess I need to revisit this one. kinda disappointed with it when it came out, And never gave it it's rightful due. Shame on me for that! And I call myself a Zappa fan!! Going to listen to it all this week tho!
Edit:
Listened to this.... Nice sound! I guess I'm curious about this and the pre- release. Which was first , and, well just a history of the development of the whole project. Is there a link to a timeline/ history, or anything with some facts about Thingfish? This is such a unique piece of work, and I appreciate it a lot more now than I used to!

It's the cleanest Thing-Fish premix source available.
It also has the complete "Teenage Wind" that doesn't fade out.
However, this boot was pressed in the mid 80s, I think it's
safe to assume that it could be taken from low generation tapes.

According to the labels it's from 1991:

Yes, you are of course right - I can't remember why I mentioned "mid 80s". hmm

Anyway, thanks for clearing it up!

out of all the albums Frank could've wackermanized, there is one i wouldn't have minded too much (although i still think the original needs to always be provided):

You Are What You Is

I love the way the refurbished YAWYI tracks sound here.
