I have been working on the time consuming process of going through my rather extensive Zappa photo collection and doing high resolution scans using an Epson photo/document scanner that can printed photos as well as scan directly from slides and negatives. I have so many photos which were mostly given to me by friends and/or contributors to the Society Pages USA. First I have to organize them by photographer or contributor as well as the date and venue which isn't always possible. Then the scanning takes a while because of the high resolution setting on the scanner. Next the digital files need to be named accordingly. Finally I run the pictures through Photoshop and try my best to clean them up by adjusting color, contrast, etc. I really want to share them all here but it takes so long and I have to work and have a life. I also have a lot of photos that were taken by professional photographers and/or have copyright stickers/stamps on the back of them. I'm not sure what to do with them but I've got lots more that aren't copyrighted and those I will eventually share here on Zappateers. First here are 5 low resolution pictures I took in Frank's basement lair the first time I sent to his house on May 22, 1989 with Eric Buxton. It was the day before Frank did that 'Evening' with Pierre Boulex at UCLA. I've got some great shots from that night that both myself and Eric took. I really had to tweak these 5 pictures quite a bit because it was really dark in the basement and I didn't have my flash. I'd be happy to upload the 5 raw/untouched high resolution images in a torrent and someone else can have fun messing with them in Photoshop. I made sure to save the un-fucked with image for prosperity. Anyway, here's five pictures I took during my first visit to Lady Gaga's house! Irony from hell!

Here's Eric Buxton checking out the Yellow Shark which is actually a Yellow Marlin made out of old surfboards!

Here is the column of Zappa license plates...
(The small one above the one that says 'PLOOKED' was from Eric Buxton's motorcycle)

And finally Frank's Grammy for Jazz From Hell which Frank referred to as "a plastic joke".

Thanks Bengo. I'm glad you like them. I've got lots more that are way better but they're going to take forever to go through!

Here's a screen shot number one of the Zappa photo folders I have already scanned...

I blew up this photo. It looks like Eric Buxton with short hair standing next to the marlin.

You are correct! It is indeed Eric but his hair isn't short... it's pulled back in a pony tail.
