I wonder if that was the lighter that went for $6K !!! Also, everyone needs to see Chapter 18 (entitled "Failure"), pages 337-340 in The Real Frank Zappa Book, if you thought Frank would be so critical of new formats... I must admit that I am prone to what Frank has dubbed "F.F.P." on page 339 - I just can't get past the ritual of taking the LP out of the sleeve and reading the liner notes/lyrics, and gazing at the cover while the record is playing... One of the simple pleasures of life that will never leave me.

Of course!

The people who actually invented the USB drive and the computer mouse, lived more than 5 thousands years ago, in Ireland:

Well. Its deifinitely bare bones but $88 isnt bad for what 12-15 disks worth of music in 24 bit.

You might need some strong market evidence to convince Universal to produce a 25 (or more) album box set.

Just for the show on Halloween night - four LP's, orange and black splash wax, numbered. It would be a nice ritual to play it loud every year - the only problem is it will never exist...

This is actually a GREAT idea.

I agree --- *great* idea. And I don't see why ZFT could not offer a tentative subscription on such a thing, with the proviso that it goes forward if / when the critical number of subscribers pledge the $75 (or whatever) cost of such a thing.

And if the four-LP Halloween vinyl edition were, in fact, to materialize, then they could follow up with a four-LP, analogue-to-vinyl version of Lather which we, FZ'z devoted followers, all so deserve...

I would love to a have an official Lather LP box set. I used to have the Edison boot. To me it's his masterpiece.
