It's called Capitalism and there is nothing wrong with it. If someone is willing to pay for something, even if it it at an outrageous price then good, fuck 'em. It's their choice. No one is forcing them to do it.

It's my opinion - I'm allowed to have it. Wink

So this is the first-ever posthumous Zappa vinyl that has unreleased material, right?
I'd like to see the track time on side b.

The RSD single "Frank Zappa ‎ 200 Motels Overture", released 2015 04 18,
has the at that time unreleased track "What's The Name Of Your Group?".

The CD album of "Frank Zappa: 200 Motels - The Suites" was released eight
month later, 2015 12 11.

I guess the same will happen to "Rollo", on another album someday.

But the version of What's The Name Of Your Group? on the RSD single was from 1971 and is not the same as that on The Suites album.

Oh yea! Thanks, Andrew. I need to pick up the 7" then. Forgot about it.
And then I can imagine how good the rest of 200 Motels could sound?

I suppose we can debate the relative merits of economic systems, and fine, I guess....

I suspect that the point being made, is that anyone offering a RSD release, before RSD, at such a substantial markup is certainly not a fan of FZ's Music, and simply some jerk who will suck up a copy that will not wind up in the hands of a fan that will truly appreciate it.

IMO

?

I asked two local shops if they were getting this, one said maybe but he wasn't sure. The other chuckled and said definitely not as he still had multiple copies of previous RSD Zappa releases. But he did say if it was a 12" he probably would have attempted to stock it.

Looking now at Discogs...HEAPS of sealed copies of Monkeys at Ma Maison available along with most of the 7"s. Guess Frank aint a hot seller. Question is why are they still making them then for RSD?

Pure speculation, but I bet a box of something more desirable (as in not 7" or Synclavier) say like Hammersmith Odeon would fly off the shelves.

I'm NOT complaining and I've bought nearly every release and am happy they exist.....
