Nice work JWB! Long time coming for this bad boy. Nice to see here on the tracker.

Thanks RJ and Al Fresco for sharing with us.

Kind regards,

This test pressing appears to be Side 1 of the unreleased "follow up" to "One Size Fits All" and it was likely to contain "Greggery Peccary" on the other side. The other two songs (Revised Music/Regyptian Strut) are not included here because they are identical to the official releases. Scans of the source are included.

I happened to be listening to OSFA last night and was reading FZ's note on the inside cover, referring to it being recorded "simultaneously with our next album (coming soon)," which always and still (as recently as last night) makes me wonder what he was referring to. Is that what this is? (Or, more accurately, where this is from, probably?)

Probably, yes. It was recorded at the same time as OSFA and mastered on 4/1/75, about a month and a half before OSFA came out. I wouldn't be surprised if OSFA was mastered around the same time. The test pressing is only one side, and there is no album title. The test pressing was marked simply "Side 1". I doubt it would have been labeled as such if it wasn't an intended release.

In one radio interview in April 75, he said "Greggery Peccary" would be on that "next album." As JWB mentioned, it seems likely that was "side two" and these three songs were "side one."

Yeah, those sessions were mastered at the same time, for sure, because they sound the same (and they sound amazing). Take Cucamonga & 200 Years Old, obviously mixed in the same vein, but the mastering is so harsh in comparison!

Anyway, that would have made an excellent other album.

It appeared on several bootlegs after FZ played it over the radio, but the version here should be the best sounding.
