About this track, by JWB:

"Moody Liz" sounds like a unique mix of just guitar and vocals,
the drums and bass are removed, and phasing has been added.
Interesting. I've never heard any mention of it before.
This one track alone was worth the upload.

All other stuff from this CD sounds like crap compared to what
circulates now and is thus obsolete.

------------------------------------

Lineage:

Lineage CD rip (unknown):
-> CD-R > EAC > WAV > TLC > FLAC
-> Media: Original Silver CD
-> CD-ripper: No info
-> Coding: FLAC, No other info

Lineage "remastering" (2015 05 08, Pittylabelle)
-> iZotope RX 4: Noiseprint, taken from the very end of the soundfile (no music, just noise), and then applied to whole file.
-> SoundForge Pro 10: Clean cut at the beginning and end of soundfile (of course no music left out).
-> SoundForge Pro 10: Volume adjustment of both channels (of course without clipping).
-> SoundForge Pro 10: Speed Correction, to match with the CD version of "Moody Liz (Take 8) - The Mirror Man Sessions", BMG Buddha Records 74321 69174 2

BTW, drums and bass are still there and a few times audible, but mixed to a very, very low level - very odd.

GOT BEEFHEART?

Yes, I remember, those funny little stickers on the two European CDs.

Sticker - CD Safe As Milk, BMG Buddha Records 74321 69175 2

STOP!!!! GOT BEEFHEART STICKERS...?!? sage

Why, yes indeed! One on each of said CD's above.. Very Happy

I'd love to own one of those Safe As Milk stickers though..Came out w/t orig. album, I believe.
Guess they're pretty rare nowadays.

Maybe you've seen that (famous?) pic' of Beatle John (or was it Beatle George?..hmm) with one stuck not too surreptitiously on a refrigerator in the 'background'. But maybe it got peeled off after they heard Beatle Bones'n'Smokin' Stones, and their previous allegiance to the good Cap'n was no more....! hmm All pretty shocking business anyway. Laughing

Ahhh yes! Here we are! Seems both had GOT BEEFHEART STICKERS?, hence the source of my earlier confusion..;

George looks a bit hot and bothered, and looks like he could possibly be in Rishikesh, (or Delhi) Northern India perhaps, and I just noticed Mr.Lennon is perusing a copy of John Sinclair's IT (International Times). How radical is that?!?
Oh well, Safe As Milk it is then! Wink

PS: And just while I'm here, here's a heads-up for Beefheart fans. It's a link to a site called Albums That Never Were, and has a very interesting and painstakingly detailed reconstruction of the good Captain's "It Comes To You In A Plain Brown Wrapper" made by someone called soniclovenoize. It's really quite good, and includes all the material and track listing that was slated to be included on the intended double album. I'd recommend it highly, and it's been a very enjoyable few listens I've had to it so far. Here's the link then : http://albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.se/2014/08/captain-beefheart-it-comes-to-you-in.html

soniclovenoize has also done a bit of a number on the ZaPpa/MoThers "WOIIFTM", and I'll include the link to the May 2014 Upgrade, so you can "read all about it!" there, rather than me going on (& on!) in somewhat long-winded fashion here : http://albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.se/2014/05/frank-zappa-were-only-in-it-for-money.html

Both are available in lossless flac format. Enjoy! & do have a bit of a hunt around there too, as you may find other 'albums that never were' that interest you. Smile

Interesting pictures of George an Paul with those SAM stickers.

Nice idea of that guy "soniclovenoiz", but he sadly used the crappiest sources,
at least for his Beefheart project. Wink
