It is HIGHLY interesting to learn from Vaultmeister why such tracklist, why not represented RDNZL-MONTANA, no medley KING KONG/CHUNGA'S/Mr.GG , no VOTS ? I am sure he knows all the details !

I fear that would be a book-length discussion...

Huh, doubt I will ever get used to that Frank pic.
And the packaging is misleading. It's a concert flick, not a movie.

But the big Q: Same recordings as Roxy by Proxy? That wd make the CD have only 2 unique tracks.

WEIRD not to include Dupree's/Montana (only one of his most famous songs!). Annoying. I like to have it all in one place. Ditto for the Cheepnis movie. Which, I bet, is the best thing to come out of the whole adventure.

Not to Diss it!

EDIT: OF COURSE it is possible the Cheepnis movie is the Cheepnis we will see as part of the film. Which would jazz things up a bit, especially falling in roughly the middle of the program..

oops, sorry for the double post, made in error, may as well leave it now.

I think you may have your apostrophe the wromg way round..... It's Father O'Blivion (as in the name) and farther oblivion (as in some oblivion which is somewhat further away in time and/or space..)
...But I wish it was farther oblivion too......

FOB. Smile

It will be interesting to see how the word comes about this "officially". Could we see it before there is frosting on the pumpkin? ;)

FZ himself confused the issue with the track title "Farther O'Blivion" (for the blues version of Father O'Blivion from Australia 73) on YCDTOSA 6.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2pG-FENeS0

Watching the trailer again:

0:00 tuning (w/Pymgy licks) w/slowed-down FZ footage
0:25 dissonant chord (Dupree's intro) w/slowed-down FZ footage
0:30 I'm The Slime (same as YCDTOSA 1?)
0:40 "Ladies and gentlemen, we are making a movie of this"
0:43 I'm The Slime
0:48 "there's a camera there, and there's a camera there, and there's a camera there"
0:51 Inca Roads (two excerpts)
0:57 Village Of The Sun (furthering the mystery of why this is not in the tracklist)
1:03 Echidna's Arf
1:09 Big Swifty guitar solo (sounds like the guitar solo from YCDTOSA 1)
1:13 Big Swifty audio fades under backstage shot of FZ
1:19 improv (Cosmik Debris? Be Bop Tango?)
1:21 Cosmik Debris guitar solo
1:34 conducted improv (probably Dupree's intro)
1:43 Penguin In Bondage
1:48 T'Mershi Duween
1:54 RDNZL trombone solo
2:02 Dickie's Such An Asshole (text matches YCDTOSA 3 except there is an additional "I've did you no harm" and there is a segment starting at 2:30 edited out of YCDTOSA)
2:40 Idiot Bastard Son
2:43 Cheepnis (from the Roxy, not the studio version in the movie recently released - text matches the Roxy By Proxy version)
3:11 "ok, the gong always gets 'em" (from the band intro before Inca Roads on Proxy)
3:14 end

(Thanks to Zappamaniac for assistance.)

Really ?? Are there any versions of YCDTOSA 6 in which it says "Farther O'Blivion" in the Tracklist or in the Booklet.

My own copy (RYKO 1995) reads "Father O'Blivion".

Weirder still, one of those unique tracks would be the Be-Bop Tango. Does that mean that the version in the movie is different than the one on Roxy & Elsewhere? Or would it be the same one, without the overdubs?
