I guess if you judge the medley of "Exercise 4/Dog Meat" by the standards of how dancey the rock music played by that Foghat ensemble appeared to sound like, I guess it just isn't rhythmic enough. So weird, so many people swear by danceable music that anything that contains a more complex time signature is seen as "lacking" in terms of "rhythm". The music critic might be a bit dumb, but his stupidity is far from being an isolated kind of stupidity.

That one quote was enough to make my head explode. I can't imagine what it was like for Frank, having to read this shit day in and day out. It's no surprise that by the late 70's, he was pretty fed up with journalists.
