Captain Beefheart - Cincinnati, Jan. 19 1971 (repaired reseed) (Mr. Brown - tranehead - anazgnos)

Re-tweaked, re-assembled & readjusted

On the original thread, the consensus seemed to be that the Portland segment was slow, however, when I compared tracks from both sets to their recorded counterparts, I found the opposite to be true, with Cincinnati actually running fast. The difference was consistent against the two albums I used to check. Adobe Audition's "stretch" function, at highest resolution, was used to stretch the file to 102.77% of it's original length.

I decided against attempting any noise reduction or eq or anything like that, as I think that sort of thing is better left in the hands of professionals, or at least individual listeners. I took the opportunity to update the info files and setlist according to the information provided in the original torrent.

orig audience sources > Mr. Brown cass. > DAT > CDR > Flac > wav (single file for entire show - foobar2000) > Adobe Audition 2.0 > stretched to 102.77% of original length / from-scratch track indexing/titleing > flac

My personal favorite (best sounding?) from 1971.

Thanks to tranehead for the original upload & anazgnos for the fix-up.

I hitchhiked to Cincinnati to see this show. Was definitely worth the trip. So happy to find this here. Cheers!
