As far as I know, official scores of FZ's orchestral works are currently available only for rental, to orchestras that are going to perform them. But in the old days, you could buy copies from Barfko-Swill.

I've scanned two price lists from Barko-Swill. The first is dated 1990.

The second price list is undated. I have several copies, one of which is stapled to an invoice from 2004.

Scores of works from The Yellow Shark have been added, along with arrangements for brass quintet and drumset by Jon Nelson of the Meridian Arts Ensemble. And the prices have gone up.

I don't know. But on the earlier price list it was #9 for harp.

Do we know what #9 is? And if so, is there a harp part associated with that piece?

Yes, it's the "Outside Now Variations". Maybe #10 is just a version of #9 for harp? Doesn't make much sense - I figure the sheet music would be identical for both.

There's harp on the Lšther outtakes version, isn't there?

But you wouldn't know that till they had your money.

So to summarize the Various Short Musics:

#6 = Jumbo Go Away interlude (also recorded independently by Le Concert Impromptu)
#7 = unreleased by FZ (but recorded by Omnibus Wind Ensemble)
#8 = Fembot interlude
#9 = Outside Now Variations
#10 = probably posthumous mislabeling of harp part for #9

Wind Quintet [#1?] = unreleased by FZ (but recorded by Le Concert Impromptu)
Wind Quintet #6 = unreleased

I believe this is what Le Concert Impromptu recorded (i.e. just an arrangement of #6 for wind quintet).

If so, that would explain the absence of Wind Quintets #2-5, as well as the lack of a number on Wind Quintet [#1].

Does Le concert impromptu's recording of Number 6 feature alto flute and english horn?

If it is the same piece, they play it more than two minutes too slow!

Not that I remember, but that doesn't say much.

Le Concert Impromptu's recording is indeed quite slow if you compare it to the Jumbo interlude as played by FZ's bands, but not THAT slow Very Happy
