ADDTIONAL INFO/COMMENTS:

1.
a) *The "Introduction" says that the host of this show did interview former Zappa

band members. This info is incorrect for these files as you will recognize anyway.

Annoyed me a bit not to mention that and give the host all the credits.

b) I don't have any infos regarding the interview sequences with JCB, Bunk Gardner,

Ike Willis, Bruce Fowler, Arthur Barrow and Chad Wackerman as no info's been given

about these except for what the "Introduction" says. Unfortunately, as with almost

every german radio or TV production non-german sequences are dubbed [is it -

languagewise - correct to say that?].

2.
My other uploads here on ZT name files when the host is speaking in a track "Radio

Host". I left that out here - this broadcast is more like a collage of interview

sequences (and translations of them), a few explanatory words of the host, FZ quotes

read in German and music. The file names are long enough anyway, y'all know there's a

host Wink

3.
The "[...]" mark edits I did myself to shorten official tunes. Most of the titles

here haven't been broadcasted in their full length anyway.

---

This is one of the first radio recordings I made as a teenager when I got into Zappa

in the mid-90's. This is the first time I digitalized these recordings (December

2012).

---

StrokeTheBoots thanks flambay for working on this recording and giving him the upload credits Smile

Chris

I contacted DLF about my radio show recordings and found out that this show was broadcasted on 1998-12-01 (and re-broadcasted on 201-03-31). The host entitled this show "The Torture Never Stops - Erinnerungen an Frank Zappa"

The press release text of this radio show says this:

Zu Wort kommen u.a.: (O-Ton) Don Preston, (O-Ton) Bunk
Gardner, (O-Ton) Jimmy Carl Black, (O-Ton) Ike Willis."

The document that I received also says that this show was originally by "SFB 1997" (Sender Freies Berlin), maybe that is a hint for the interview sources...

...

And, I forgot to credit flambay in the title of this post - sorry! Can I change it?

Heyho. I recognized this last week and posted in the thread of that old upload...it was a re-broadcast, didn't compare the versions though...I cut out some music, that's probably why pittylabelle's version is longer
