A thing of beauty Yojimbo (and thanks for the quick fix)! Perhaps this will be inspiration for the next ZFT release? Mmm...how about Trenton 75-04-29?

cheers

Kind regards,

Yes, this was discussed in one of the sample threads. The same wave form asymmetry was on other tapes from this trader, so it may have something to to with his decks. Not sure how this affects the sound.

I f***ing can't download this now, but... without seeing what this asymetry looks like in this particular case, I'd like to mention I recognised something probably identical with the wave-forms of trombones! (and to some degree also with trumpets) - whenever a trombone is prominent in the mix, the lower waves look truncated, no matter about the source (digital, pre-FM reels etc)

So I guess for the graphic image at least of those brass instruments' waves that phenomenon just might be perfectly natural.

This torrent has now been updated with yet another fixed version of "Montana". Those of you who downloaded the original version and/or the first fix need to repeat the procedure:
* Delete "1975 05 23 El Paso TX - 12 Montana.flac"
* Delete "1975 05 23 El Paso TX 92.13 SBD 2nd (Yojimbo).ffp.txt"
...and click "Download" again.

I think there are at least 2 further digital skips:

Track 14 "Advance Romance" at about 5:39 + Track 15 "Florentine Pogen" at about 6:57

Of course I could be mistaken ... Embarassed

There is something nasty in the wave form between 5.39.962 and 5.39.983 on AR and between 6'58.154 and 6'58.304 on FP
