1967 - "We're Only In It For The Money" demo / test pressing
35 min, B+

I know we have already these on the tracker, but I think I may have upgraded them a bit. The source of these files is the "Money Demos" CD that has been seeded on the Liberated Boots section.
I used my own CD, extracting the tracks with EAC (I don't mean I used a cdr with the tracks from the seed: it's one of the few liberated boots I have and I bought it before I was a Zappateer), and I did adjusted it a bit. On the back cover this acetate was divided in side one (first two tracks), and side two (the rest). I don't know if it's true, but surely there is a quality difference between the two.
Side one is in stereo, while side two was monophonic, and ran faster than the actual album.

For side one I did minor adjustments: removed silence between and after the tracks and a little bit retracked.

For side two I did a more complex work:
-the original was monophonic, but sound was balanced on left channel. I put the tracks in mono
-I have slowed down everything (-5%) using "Bow Tie Daddy" as pitch reference
-I've smoothed the edit between "The Idiot Bastard Son" and "Who Needs The Peace Corps?" (on the original there was a gap between them, as for some reasons WNTPC comes from another source).
-retracked everything
-avoided clipping, by normalizing

This sounds better in my opinion, but I don't call this the definitive version, because I'm not pitch perfect so I'm not sure if -5% is the right one. Sure it's closer and sounds fine to there ears. The only track that run faster now are "Mom & Dad" and "The Idiot Bastard Son", but that was FZ's idea.

Lineage:

(tracks 1-2) Original silver > EAC > wav (retracked) > flac level 6
(tracks 3-11) Original silver > EAC > wav (speed corrected, adjusted volumes, put it into mono, retracked) > flac level 6

I love this one too!
I wish it would have been in the LM Project like this. Oh well, I have been sure enjoying Lumpy Money, as well as listening to this acetate too.
Thanks for the upgrade son!
